Just got it out from 10-days. I wanted an AR added to my collection. It was this or something that has a stainless steel bull barrel and I picked this because it has a 2-stage competition (non adjustable) trigger, plus the tone down non military look (by the way, if you hadn't mentioned Bushmaster, I would not have looked into it, so thank you very much for your recommendation). 2 things I dislike about this was, one, the look of the gas block. But it's designed to keep the weigh low. Two, don't know if this is a Bushmaster problem or AR in general, that the paint gets scratched so easily. Got a good deal on it, and this is my very first AR. May still get a bull barrel AR in the future or just get a bull barrel complete upper to swap it out from time to time. Can't decide for now.
I pick up my M4 last week, just did not have time to take to the range yet.
It is a cheap cheap AR... nothing special... but you can upgrade to the Nth degree with whatever budget you can afford (most parts are 99% compatible with other AR).
