Prius在2012年式的主要改款部份,即是針對車頭部分進行改變,其中水箱護罩由原本較窄的設計轉換為更具運動風采的低扁放大樣式,於此同時,前保桿左右兩端折角亦為了追求更加的空力效益而變得更加銳利,另一方面也使整體面容更加年輕動感,除此之外,原本鑲嵌於兩側的霧燈也挪移至水箱護罩柵欄兩側,藉此增添視覺呈現上的豐富層次,另外更是於全車系導入了與歐規同步的LED晝行燈組,提升整體安全性,而配備較為高階的G Grade則是較入門款的E Grade多了附自動水平調整的LED頭燈組。

小改款Prius在內裝設計上雖然仍是採用中控台與中央扶手連結的懸浮式中控台設計,不過卻在中控內裝飾板部份,導入了黑色內裝搭配金屬髮絲紋飾板之設計,讓整體車室質感能夠有所提升,而在車室配備部份,亦標配了MID多功能資訊顯示幕,配備較為豐富的G Grade車型中,更是搭載了觸控式DVD影音系統整合衛星導航,而停車偵測雷達也一併納入其標配清單當中,至於E Grade車型則是標配單片式CD音響。

Prius自誕生以來的最大產品亮點,即是其THS油電混合系統帶來經濟效益高的油耗表現。儘管小改款Prius傳動系統依然由一具1.8升Atkinson循環設計汽油引擎,搭配一顆最大輸出相當於82匹馬力的永磁馬達,構成一組綜效最大馬力達136匹的油電混合動力系統,但是透過新設計的空氣力學前保桿,以及重新優化調校的動力系統,使其在歐盟規範下繳出市區每公升行駛33.9公里、平均每公升行駛23.7公里之油耗表現。

在安全配備方面,小改款Prius依然擁有了EBS緊急煞車警示系統、EPS車輛輔助轉向系統、ABS防鎖定煞車系統、TRC循跡防滑控制功能 、BOS煞車優先系統 、EBD電子煞車力道分配與HAC斜坡輔助控制系統等主動安全輔助科技,而在被動安全部份,小改款Prius車系仍然全車系標配雙前座氣囊、雙前座車側氣囊、車側氣簾、與駕駛座膝部氣囊等一共7具氣囊,把關主被動安全輔助。

2013 Saab 9-3



Spyker/Saab chief Victor Muller recently stated that there will be an all-new Saab 9-3 on the market by 2012. What’s more, Muller said the new 9-3 “will be the first true Saab developed as a stand-alone [post-GM] company.”
While Muller would say little else on the record regarding the new car, we believe the photo-illustration seen here bears a very good likeness to the finished version we’ll see in 2012 as a 2013 model. We’ve also learned the car will actually be called the “93,” as opposed to the current “9-3.” As you can see, the new 93 will borrow the thick roof look of the recently introduced 9-5, but the smaller car will take the styling to a sportier level.
Underpinning the new 93 will be what’s being dubbed the Phoenix platform, which may also serve the next-generation 9-5. If our sources are correct, Saab will rely on many suppliers to build the new 93, the latest rumors suggesting the Swedish brand could use a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder from Mini/BMW. Such an engine could easily produce 200-plus-bhp in 93 form, and Saab’s excellent XWD all-wheel-drive system should still be an option.
The 93 sedan you see here will launch first, but count on a convertible soon after and, believe it or not, the return of a 93 hatchback model a bit later.

The Toyota 86. Known simply as the 86 here, as opposed to “GT86″ for Europe and “FT86″ for the concept, the car is a spiritual successor to the original AE86 hachi roku, the rear-wheel drive Corolla coupe of the 80s, made popular by drifting and Initial D.

Toyota says that two other iconic sports cars influenced the 86′s DNA – the tiny Sports 800 (FR layout, boxer engine) and the curvy 2000GT, which served as a starting point for the stylists. If you don’t already know, the 86 was co-developed with Subaru, which sells its twin sister the BRZ.

As mentioned in our BRZ test drive report, Toyota was in charge of the car’s styling and product planning, while Subaru handled engineering and production. The 2.0 litre four-cylinder boxer engine is Subaru’s trademark, enhanced with Toyota’s D-4S direct fuel injection system and VVT. The boxer engine is relatively compact and flat, with a low centre of gravity, which makes it very suitable for a sports car.

With a high 12.5:1 compression ratio, the 16-valve DOHC flat-four engine makes 200 PS at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque available between 6,400 and 6,600 rpm. Redline is 7,450 rpm. Two gearboxes are available, a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic with the same amount of forward ratios. The self shifter comes with steering paddles, sequential shift and Sport Mode.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Torsen limited slip differential (LSD) and front-rear weight distribution is 53:47. The VSC system has a Sport mode that is less restraining, but the electronic nannies can be completely switched off for some sideways fun, an essential part of the 86 experience.

Should things go wrong, seven airbags are standard (front, side, curtain, driver’s knee), as are ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, and VSC. ISOFIX mounts are included in the rear. With today’s crash and safety requirements, the 86 won’t be sub-1000 kg, but a kerb weight of 1,275 kg (1,298 kg for auto) is light for today’s standards. An aluminum bonnet and resin fuel tank, help the cause, among other things.



The suspension consists of front MacPherson struts and double wishbones for the rear. The steering is of the electric (EPS) variety with a “sporty” 13:1 ratio. Ventilated disc brakes can be found at all corners, along with 17-inch alloys and 215/45 Michelin Primacy HP tyres.

Eagle eyes out there will notice the smaller centre cap on the wheels – 49 mm vs the usual 60 mm. Apparently, this saves weight without any loss of rigidity, and makes the spokes appear longer, giving the illusion of bigger wheels.

The cabin features semi-bucket seats and a small diameter three-spoke wheel – at 365 mm, the 86 wheel is the smallest in any Toyota. There’s also a programmable shift indicator – 100 rpm increments from 2,000 to 7,400 rpm. Standard kit includes smart entry/start, a 2DIN audio system with six speakers (CD, AUX, USB) and auto air con.

We were given a very limited and brief sample of the 86 at South Track, automatic version only, VSC on and the 86 shows plenty of promise as a car that will delight the enthusiast.



The seating position is very low and all controls are perfectly placed, including the auto shift stick that mimics the design of a manual. The engine is enthusiastic and smooth revving, and although there’s no turbo style kick in the back, one gets the joy of a pushing a high-revving naturally aspirated engine to the max – an extremely rare pleasure these days.

There’s a relatively loud tone when the engine is extended, which is welcome, although I can’t quite extract “boxer notes” from the overall tune. The weight and feel of the steering and brakes are spot on, and the lightweight, agile feel of the 86 is apparent throughout.



Push hard and the tail will ease out, but with the VSC on standby, we couldn’t get the 86 to do what it’s famous for. Just a bit of rear end slip before we were brought in line again. Whatever drifting you see here was done by no other than Tetsuya Tada, chief engineer of the 86. It was quite painful to see the “demo session” done on a manual 86 and hear the tyres howl away – classic example of can see, cannot touch!

For more, read our first impressions of the Subaru BRZ. Not being lazy here, because both cars feel exactly the same in the limited wheel time I had.



Six colours are available, and they are Satin White Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, Sterling Silver Metallic, Lightning Red, Galaxy Blue Silica and Orange Metallic. The latter is an 86 exclusive colour, much like what WR Blue Mica is to the Subaru BRZ. Satin White Pearl is an RM800 premium.

As with all cars sold by UMW Toyota Motor, the 86 comes with a three-year or 100,000 km warranty, something one will never get from grey importers.



Speaking of them, we won’t be expecting to see many grey units around – Toyota and Subaru can’t make enough of the 86/BRZ twins despite full throttle production and demand is clearly outstripping supply.

The Spider was not a typical vehicle in the Renault range. A no-concessions sports car emphasizing thrills rather than comfort. Designed and built by enthusiasts for enthusiasts...

In the 1990s, the Williams-Renault dominated Formula 1 racing. Their success brought Renault considerable publicity and the firm decided to develop its range of sports vehicles. The idea for the Spider took form with the bold concept car unveiled by Renault at the 1990 Paris Motor Show. The Laguna Roadster was an open car with no roof or windscreen, featuring minimalist design lines and gullwing doors. Nothing to do with the future sedan of the same name. It was only in 1993 that Renault finally brought an ultra-sporty production model to market.


Following extensive studies, Renault produced a working prototype of the Laguna Roadster. The original idea was to develop a fun high-performance sports model dedicated to track sports. However, the quality of the prototype was such that Renault management decided to take the idea further. It initiated the idea of volume production with the assistance of Nogaro Technologies, specialists in the design of motor sports vehicles.

Presented under the Renault Sport label, it continued the tradition of the Alpine range and its no-concessions design. The finely muscled body and taut, fluid lines expressed elegance and power. And its performance was as impressive as its looks: rear transversely mounted engine, light aluminium chassis (cutting its weight by 930 kg). In the purest tradition of roadsters, the Spider was a car of minimalist design: the bucket seats and roll cage brought motor sports to mind. It had no power steering, ABS or heating. The Spider was designed to deliver thrills in acceleration, braking and ride without a motor sports budget. An ode to the pleasure of driving on the open road...


The eminently sporty Spider was unveiled at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. Continuing the long and fruitful cooperation that had produced such vehicles as the A110, Renault commissioned the Alpine plant in Dieppe to make the car.

The Spider received a spontaneous, enthusiastic welcome from both the public and the critics. It was a car that brought the spirit of motorsports to French roads. City drivers (and co-drivers) were required to wear helmets since there was no windscreen. A version with a windscreen came out one year later.

A total 1,726 Spider vehicles were produced, of which 80 models of the Spider Trophy cars, an international version reserved for competition.

榮威(Roewe)是上海汽車工業(集團)總公司旗下的一款汽車品牌,於2006年10月推出。該品牌下的汽車技術來源於上汽之前收購的路華,但由於品牌「路華」的使用權被福特汽車公司從寶馬手中買走,因此上汽不得不自推品牌。

這款開發代號為R95的榮威950,車身尺碼為4996×1857×1502mm、軸距2837mm,在外觀造型方面與BUICK Regal別克君威有著幾分相似,而事實上950便是採用源自於君越的Globe Epsilon II-BP31底盤平台,動力方面則分別搭載2.4L直四(186hp)或3.0L V6(265hp)兩款來自GM的TGI缸內直噴汽油引擎,稍後還會追加入門版本的2.0L直四汽油引擎(147hp),均搭配六速手自排變速箱,採前置引擎前輪驅動配置。

而在內裝方面,榮威950採用雙色的真皮鋪陳、同時輔以木紋飾條,視覺效果上有著濃厚的豪華氣息,並將Push Start引擎啟閉按鈕、電子式手煞車、多功能方向盤、8吋液晶螢幕、電調通風座椅、以及後排多功能控制系統,可控制後排的音響系統、空調系統、液晶螢幕以及電動遮陽簾等,全車並配置6具防護氣囊,具備一切旗艦房車的風範。

省油的城市小車,已成一眾香港人買車時選擇車種之一,話雖如此,在香港可以購買得到的城市小車其實不多,今天試駕的 Subaru R2 算是多人問津的一架,原因是車型設計、配備以至價格,都是配合得很平均,加上它已列入香港政府認可環保車,減稅後只需 $93,375,吸引力之然大大提升,Car1.hk 又怎會錯過試盡每一架環保車的機會呢。

性能、車架設計得宜
Subaru R2 初推出時已令一眾喜歡小車的用家所愛戴,加上近年油價不停上漲,一架省油的小車已成香港人買車頭號重點。Subaru R2 引擎只有 658cc,配合它的 i-CVT 無斷自動變速波箱,為用家帶來 24km/L 的耗油量,接近電單車耗油量了,在市區穿梭更最適合不過。很多人都會問,658cc 力水足夠嗎?其實這種容積引擎在日本及香港都是很常見的,只是在過去的日子大家都會留意較大引擎 cc 的車種,而忽略了小車車種而已。Subaru R2 的車身以小巧為賣點,車子不會太重,約 1,040kg,以 Subaru R2 行走香港向大小道路絕對無問題。筆者試車還選址了香港山頂這段路,緊隨我們的 Subaru R2 更是郵政局購入的同款車種,難得兩架同型號城市小車一起上山,一點停滯、遲緩等問題也沒有,行車順暢。

外表簡潔 內裡實用
Subaru R2 推出雖然已有一段時間,但是今次試駕的是最新版本。車箱音響做到一體化模樣,感覺升級了不小。加上冷氣位置及波棍位置很相近,調校也算就手。為了增加空間,Subaru R2 的波棍位置與 7 人車車種相似,這設計令用家感受到的是,人體工學設計帶來左手沒那麼容易疲倦,駕長途車的車主可以留意。

車價便宜,不代表它的外型設計也將價就貨,Subaru R2 全車以小車常用的流線型佈局,以較高的車頭、車尾燈擺位,外型方面絕對不比十多萬的五門車遜色!筆者反而覺得它在車鈴大小、反光條的使用得宜,以簡單車身外型,來吸引愈來愈多人喜愛簡約產品市場。另外,筆者日常駕車在街道上也可見到 Subaru R2 及其他品牌的小車蹤影,証明在香港駕駛小車已不是小眾遊戲。

Outback用上一台2.5公升自然吸氣引擎 這台型號同為EJ25的水平對向四汽缸機器,可稱為富士的「名機」了,已為品牌旗下多個車系服役。來到新Outback之上,它獲配一台Lineartronic CVT無段變速波箱做拍檔,提供167匹(5,600rpm)及23.4kgm(4,000rpm)的最大馬力及峰值扭力,當然少不了的,還有富士汽車最著名的四驅系統。該款屬溫純型的家庭旅行車,加速力雖一般,但過程平順漸進,易於掌握。Outback的起動力其實不俗 市區街道上,在50km/h至70km/h之間不斷快慢變速行駛,波箱的應變能力頗強,都能提供合適的動力,也毋須催谷上高轉才夠力推動車身,千五至二千轉左右已足夠 值得一讚的是Outback的底盤功架,在彎路上它有很出色的平穩性,連續左右拐彎,傾側與重心轉移的幅度都不大

TOYOTA CAL-1 Concept(1977)





     以「追求Outdoor Life機能」為訴求所打造的CAL-1,是TOYOTA在1977年第22屆東京車展所推出的概念車,雖說是以Celica為基礎,實際上就是1978年問世的Celica XX貨卡休閒版,不過在當時並沒有人會與量產Celica XX作聯想。
      採用貨卡外型設計的CAL-1,是以豪華遊艇為發想,因為1970年代日本經濟大幅成長,富足的民眾開始追求奢華休閒生活型態,尤其將Celica變成「陸上遊艇」。雖說是以Celica為藍本,實際上CAL-1軸距從2500mm延伸至2630mm,獲得4600×1650×1310mm尺碼,比起4410×1640×1330mm的Celica要大上一號,Celica上的四圓頭燈組也變成四個方燈,水箱護罩亦改成鍍鉻T型,同時引擎蓋也增加兩道銳利的折線,儼然就是1978年誕生的第一代Celica XX。

    內裝部分CAL-1走高級路線,紅棕色皮革所構成的車艙,呈現高級又尊貴的歐洲風格,音響、空調、五環式儀表、四輻式方向盤都是標準配置。不過CAL-1的最大特色在於後座。原木構成的貨斗與遊艇甲板非常神似,在需要時可掀起後窗和油壓控制後座椅,形成四人乘坐空間,正因為後窗掀起後變成擋風玻璃,對後座乘員來說宛如置身敞篷車般。

     動力搭載與Celica XXX’相同的2563cc直列六缸電子噴射SOHC自然進氣引擎,可輸出140hp/5400rpm馬力和21.5kgm/3600rpm扭力,變速系統為五速手排,整體搭配下擁有高速運轉靜肅性和順暢度。前麥弗遜、後四連桿底盤結構則提供舒適與操控性。所以在CAL-1亮相後的隔年,1978年TOYOTA便推出膾炙人口的Celica XX,也就是日後日本跑車四大天王之一的Supra前身。
