He was a very talented and mixed up half Greek hippy kid in his early twenties in the 70’s, but converted and became a Muslim just before he was thirty on 23 December 1977, and stayed that way ever since. I have islamic friends who have abused drugs, non of them could do it in the open, and I wonder if Cat Steven(Yusuf Islam)can when US hates him since 9/11.
