Believe me or not, I'd been hit by lightning before. On a dry day in a railway depot (with metallic rails laying all around the ground). Thunderstorm was seen gathering at a distant area and all of a sudden flashes of lightning came from the sky to the rail beside me. I saw sparks splashing around here and there branching off trying to find a leak to go to the ground through the insulating timber sleepers (枕木). I was wearing leather boots with one foot resting on a rail and one of the sparks hit my right foot (I could really feel it hitting at my boot). Luckily the spark was not strong and my body was dry I didn't get hurt. Since then whenever I hear thunder I would find a shelter or stay indoor whether there is rain or not.
