絕冇吹水， 1969年我第一次見到燒牛肉車， 已經接近三四萬一架， 系木頭嘅， 嘅蓋就鍍銀。
美國Lawry's總店嘅大車， 1996年我第一次去幫襯， 已經超過十萬美金一架啦。

找到些資料，不過是官方的，等我搵日去研究下架車先，早期到香港時，是美心管理的，其實口碑見一般，還未有動機去嘗試，但真的很想看一看架車，等我返大陸Quo下價，要做一架A貨要幾錢先:

The Famous
Silver Cart Story

The ideas that made Lawry's so unique sprang from the late founder, Mr. Lawrence Frank and Mr. Walter van de Kamp's belief that customers deserve top quality food and exemplary service. Hence no expense was spared to make the carts magnificent. Lawrence L. Frank designed the famous "silver" carts so that the beef could be carved at tableside. The first one was built in 1938 and it cost nearly as much as a Cadillac (US$30,000). (That cost has kept pace with inflation, and a new cart today is still as expensive as a new Cadillac.)

the price of a top midel Cadillac costs only between 3,000-5,000 dollars. Don't trust their version of the story

而家香港的Lawry's 都係美心集團代理， 不過美國人堅持要達到美國的最低要求水準。
我去過幾次， 唔多見有美國鬼佬， 至少唔夠 Dan  Ryan 多。 估計美國人去過正版嘅， 唔多滿意美心嘅經營水平啦。
