The White Burgundy, I would think, was drunk "A Pointe", as the French would say, i.e. just at the right time. The right maturity and not over the hill. The Hugel, well, I have never been a big fan of this brand as I find them lacking in acidity and therefore heavy.
Produtorri del Barbaresco always make good value for money wines, although their prices have crept up recently. They only make individual Crus in good years; otherwise a generic Barbaresco is made. I like their Asili and montestefano best. |
