Agree. Soy sauce kills white wine.
The issue with Le Montrachet is, no matter which producer makes it, invariably it is matured in new oak. I have problem with oaky wines pairing with seafood/Asian cuisine.

In World War II, a French commander delayed an attack on the Germans for fear of damaging the prized Montrachet vineyards in these three appellations.

Romanee Conti 係一塊特級田, 由 Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) 獨佔.
Montrachet 係另一塊特級田, 但有好多業主, DRC 係其中之一.

For beginners who know little about the different appellations and producers and Crus of Burgundy, this is like astro physics to primary school children.

Chairman Mao was a great man, in his famous quote book , he said " only those who have done their researches have the right to speak".

Not that I have drunk many bottles of Le Montrachet ( say 30 or so, remember back in the mid-1990s, the one by DRC  cost about 7-10 K whereas that of Leflaive or Comte Lafon cost around 2-3  K), my personal preference is that of Etienne Sauzet, made in a more restrained and elegant style and not as overtly oaky.
