I owned and modify Dyanco Stereo 70 before, sound really good. Would be even nicer to replace with the Chinese tubes..haha The Shuguang match pair of EL34 Black Treasure. Tube probably cost about $200/match pair USD..worth it. Gimme time to put it together, I might be able to share what I had done and how it sounds. It has been so long ago lol.. Another thing is about those after market kit. Yes, they can use better part but very questionable is it's out put transformer. The ST 70's out put transformer is a good one, even for an inexpensive amp. When it comes to after market tube amps, especially ones from China, I wouldn't trust them.
Nice sine wave & squad wave measurements at 10khz. No visible notch distortions. I paid $60 USD for both Stereo 70 and PAS3 tube pre amp, were like new..lol..79 or 80, maybe.
I used the Stereo 70 and PAS3 to drive a pair of Wharfedale E70 speakers for a few months just for fun....still almost killed my ears lol..@98db/w/m.
The only "loud speakers" I owned in my entire life. Geez, was a bad buy.

Using Mullard tubes would some how makes it sound more European, British sound, actually and only cost half of the Chinese tubes..I would prefer Chinese tubes, even cost more, maybe Tung-Sol is ok too. Please do not under estimate the difference those tubes make. It is very noticeable.
