Judged by racing history, Jag has far better records than Aston Martin, but yes, the DB series of Aston, since DB7 are just the best breed in design. What worry me is Aston seems to become victim of its own success - dare not to try something new. At this moment, the Lagonda comes to my mind.
The most expensive car in the world ( at that time)
Jaguar was in bad health due to the poor UK economy in the 80s, then Ford put it into ICU during the 90s. The racing glory days of Jaguar is long gone... which is a pity.
Aston will always be Aston, just a GT car. Trying to treat it like a sports car is just asking for too much. It's a piece of art.

Yeah, can't agree more.
And I'm glad to see Jag is brave enough to launch the new generation of XF and XJ. Though the XJ is not really beautiful, I see the chance of reborn. XF is really good, If I could afford one, I prefer it to 5-series, of course only my personal choice - BMW just does not have that level of elegance
Only if Jag has the reliability of the German and Japan made... they look nice, even with XJ coming out with a totally polarized exterior from the past, they the old saying still remains true -- you need to buy two jaguars if you want one -- one for driving while the other one is fixing.
Only two types of people buy Jaguar -- lawyers, and Jews, because they will not buy Germans
Isn't it ironic... British once ruled India, now an Indian company owns the British icon...
