多唔多師兄用緊RubyOnRail?

Amazon Web Service 都有請人寫Ruby.  不過香港冇份.  多唔多師兄有以下Qualification??

Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Ruby development.
- 2+ years of experience in another programming language like Java, C/C++, Perl, Python or JavaScript development.
- Strong OO design and coding skills.
- Fluent in data structures, algorithms, and asynchronous architectures.
- Willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree.
- Keen interest in the latest web technologies and strong desire to build the next great web app.
- Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems.
- Experience owning mission critical, 24x7 systems.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment using Scrum and Test Driven Development.
- Experience with Chef or Puppet are a plus.
- Start-up experience.

Just tried Ruby out in one of our production systems, what can i say, a little bit of learning curve for developers coming from Java background. But it's a great language to learn, and you'd appreciate it's simplicity and elegance once you've tried out. Recommended to any developers want to sharp their skills. Have fun.

By the way, couldn't agree more to below:

This is what worked for me last couple of years,

Forget about java (or what ever the programming language u r coming from..)
Because rails has a different thinking system. If you are coming from java background most probably what you will try to do in the beginning is , you will tend to write JAVA in Ruby (At least it has happened to me... when I came from Java and .net)

Try to Learn 'ruby'
One mistake i did was when learning rails, I did not went though 'Ruby' well. Having an understanding of ruby will have you less surprise on how Rails work.

This is the best book I have read so far Programming Ruby 1.9 (3rd edition): The Pragmatic Programmers' Guide

Grab this book, you can find a free pdf version if you google it.

Another great rails learning book. (Yes I have read the older versions, but this approach of this book will make you understanding rails easily)

Install a plugin or two
Try to install some plugins and try to go through the code. Coz personally I find it more productive on understanding how rails works, modules, mixings etc...

See how it happens
Sometimes viewing how it happens will make you easy to understand rails. This is a nice site for that

我離開IT多年,離開時剛剛系JAVA新興,
其後想學,但我MASTER唔到JAVA既精神,
因為我放唔低的舊野,所以學唔識.

睇情況好似金融講"欲練神工必先自宮",
今次連宮都唔洗自
