Porches, u will never regret your decision, unless u load with $ n got other supercars in your garage.
Otherwise, if u can only afford 1, choose the 1 with history n glory (n better resale value).
In terms of performance, GTR is faster than almost all supre car including 458 & lambo while C2S only is a high performance car and nothing really special its style. Too many 911 and they looks almost the same through out the generation
GTR, as you said, wins at all objective performance category -- acceleration time, braking distance, lateral acceleration G-force, lap time, etc.
C2 or C2S, on the other hand, probably will trump GTR at the subjective category -- steering feel, handling reaction, the interaction between the car and the driver.
GTR is a PlayStation Gran Turismo which can be operated on the street. 911 is about the relationship built between the driver/owner and the car. If you have driven a 911, you will know what I mean.
If I need a tool which I can use to beat others on a race course easily, I will take the GTR. However, on a good day taking a car out for a leisure driving, I will take the 911.
GTR has a superior performance! But the reliability of the car is a doubt! Personally I will choose Porsche. It's very durable and it looks great on all models, including the old Porsche!!
using the same amount of money to buy a beginner grade of porsche is totally retarded
those who never ever driven a GTR and a porsche are only going towards he BRAND
it doesn't matter if they are driving a carerra s or a porsche bicycle as long as it has a porsche tag
they have zero knowledge about cars so there's no point to argue with them
