John Edward Rowles OBE (born 26 March 1947, Whakatane, New Zealand) is a New Zealand singer. He was most popular in the 1970s and early 1980s, and most famous for his song Cheryl Moana Marie, which he had written about his kid sister back home in New Zealand.

John Rowles,s facebook message today: 'To all you Brisbane folk. Keep a look out on Channel 7 tonight in Heartbeat between 7.30pm and 8.30pm for a JR concert ad' & his autobiography is almost finished. You're all gonna love it! Due out this Christmas all going well.
Also a foto shows that John in Waipukurau recently to celebrate the Fire Brigade's centenary with friends in a fire engine!

He is still active!
