底特律車展 2012: 2013 Honda Accord Concept 秋季推出

打算在今年秋季推出的 Honda 第九代 2013 款 Accord 在底特律車展以 Coupe Concept 亮相。全新 Accord 保留最受歡迎的運動元素，頭泵把的大型蜂巢狀進氣鬼面罩，側邊是大型多邊型銀色電鍍板，中間的小型多邊型是 LED 日間行車燈，配合前衛的車頭鬼面罩和頭燈組，整體設計充滿動感。



2013 款 Accord 將會搭載三款不同引擎。首先是全新開發的 2.4 升燃油直噴直列四缸引擎，可輸出 181 匹最大馬力及最大扭力 240 牛頓米，搭配 6 速手動波箱和全新 CVT 無段變速系統。而 3.5 升 V6 引擎則可以輸出最大馬力 310 匹及最大扭力 360 牛頓米，波箱可選擇 6 速自動或 6 速手動。



最後是 Accord 首次出現的 Plug-in Hybrid 系統，在純電動模式下，6kW/h 的鋰離子電池配合 120kW 電動馬達，車子可行駛 16-24 公里，最高時速可達 100km/h。若以 240V 進行充電，只需 1.5 小時便能完成充電。

Accord Coupe 不嬲都剩係為北美市場架啦。架車都係美國造咗二十年咁滯。唔美國味點賣當地市場啊

The car is obviously designed for U.S. market when you see it comes with a 3.5L 310 hp V6 engine, for the rest of the world you will probably get a 2L turborcharged four for better fuel economy.

General Motors and Ford are building 2L turbo four also, for the same reason you mentioned (better fuel economy).  however, in the real world driving situation, especially heavier cars equipped with these engines, how much fuel can be saved with the driver putting a heavy foot on the accelerator to keep the boost on in order to move the heavier mass?

Last time Honda put a turbocharged engine in a car, they failed miserably in the fuel efficiency department.  The first-gen Acura RDX with a 2.3L turbo four only got 19/23 city/hwy mile per gallon, while the second-gen RDX with a 3.5L V6 is estimated to get 20/28.

Using a smaller displacement engine is not just to save gas.  In many countries, taxes on automobiles are based on size of engine and has nothing to do with fuel economy.  That is why you can buy a 2L engine for a Ferrari in Italy, the power adders are used for the lost performance in a smaller engine.

As far as the best compromise between fuel economy and performance is concerned, a turbocharged, four cylinder diesel engine that coupled with a manual transmission is the ideal set up.  Take a look at the VW Golf TDI with a common rail 2L diesel engine, you can get 38 mpg city and 50 mpg highway.  Last month, I had a chance to drive from Toronto Canada to New York City for a total distance of 525 miles with an average speed of over 70 mph and I got 50 miles per U.S. gallon for the trip, very impressive.

I don't think you can afford one because they are all collector's item.

1980-1986  Dino 208 GTB/GTS, 208 turbo

Even today, the smallest engine you can buy for the domestic market is a 2398cc engine.

The point I am making is, Ferrari makes a lot of small displacement engines for tax reasons.

Wow, all of a sudden you are bringing back all the memories with cars made 30 some years ago? I hope you are not comparing apples with oranges.

I think what you meant is Ferrari MADE, not makes. If you know any current street model they make currently with a 2.0 L engine, please let me know. I want to buy a brand new Ferrari but want to save some tax money...

The 208 is not that expensive in the auction market. Oh, may you teach me how to figure out if a person can afford something or not by just chatting with them a couple times on the internet forum?
