well, I don't use Yahoo "translation", but I did do some additional research on other English dictionary websites, and you are right, score means berate and censure, which is close enough to scold -- although that's like the 17th meaning of the word Score in verb tense.
and to c0179614, I owe you an apology for the earlier harsh remark. However, you have to be a man. Your mentality of "if I am your boss you are not dared to scold me" is not right. 1, you may be his boss one day, but one day is not today, so deal with it; 2, just because you are the boss doesn't mean you don't have to accept your subordinates' comment/suggestion/opinion/complaint. |
