Galaxy S II has better hardware spec, and probably much better battery life ... but iPhone has much better Operation System.  Apple iOS is >, better, more user friendly, higher, more stable, ... than Google Android.  No doubt!!

Users are interacting with the OS through the hardware.  Ask yourself ... you want to play with a meaningless glass screen, or you want to interact with a good OS and good applications?

Don't take me wrong, Android is good, but just not as good as iOS.  So, I would still go for Apple iPhone at any time.  But I have to admit ... iPhone 4S battery life is really embarrassing and annoying.  Won't blame anyone to switch to Galaxy S II because of poor iPhone 4S battery life.

The difference between smartphone and tablet is the size of the  monitors, if you want a bigger monitors, please go for a tablet, like Galaxy Note.

Smartphone is supposing to be able to put in your jeans pockets!
