actually if the customer is clever, then no problem at all. I just afraid those no-brains!!
First, I'm not said "I'm super and everyone should follow me". What I say is the discussion and any idea, any request must be fixed & agree before the programming start.
Collect the customer requirements, define the operating model, customer agree, then start programming.
In the model definition, I will correct/change/reject the customer requirements if I think it is not a good practice. I will tell the reasons, and most of the they follow my idea. If they insist, I will either withdraw the project or require them to sign a document to prove it is their own idea.
Once sign the contract and start programming, sorry, no more changes. The project will probably die if keep on changing.
Yes, sometime the customers may be unhappy. But the project high successful rate tell everything, and they usually come back to me, or refer more customers to me
Have to say NO when they are wrong! |
