上海饱饺店
早上6:00 到 晚上 8:00
小龙饱4 只 $ 14
生煎饱 4 只 $ 12
生煎饺 4 只 $ 12

Rated as the second highest 沪菜 (上海) in Kowloon on Openrice, I had to give上海饱饺店 a try.
I first ate 生煎饺 then 小龙饱 then 生煎饱.
生煎饺 (7.5/10). Wasn’t crispy enough and was only warm. 生煎饺wrappers tasted more like Japanese pot stickers.
小龙饱 (8/10). Freshly steamed and served fresh. However, the dumplings lacked soup and flavor.
生煎饱(7/10). The bun was recommended by the 老板 and was freshly pan-fried. However, the pork served inside the buns tasted very similar to the pork served inside the小龙饱. The bun also left a very oily taste in your mouth. Hence, the low score in comparison to the生煎饺 and 小龙饱.
豆浆 (8.5/10). The soy bean milk had a strong bean taste and wasn’t too sweet. I hadn’t expected to finish the whole bottle but eventually did.
Given the price paid I have nothing to complain about and the meal was actually quite satisfying.
Ding Tai Fung’s 小龙饱 still tastes better in comparison to上海饱饺店’s 小龙饱.
