So far failed every time. To me, that is more of a political slogan than anything else. Manufacturing inland instead HK was for cost reason. Plain and simple. Now, why designing in HK when designers are cheaper inland and more cost effective when closer to the production?
It only makes sense if you able to find a solution to manufacturing inland, but package/added-on in HK for it to be MIHK instead MIC. Which, unfortunately, is still a unsolved mystery.
