London Soho be careful

I went to London recently for business.
It happened to be a free afternoon so i went to Soho to spend the time.
There's a place for Stripe Show and the price is 5 pounds for as long as i like.
I paid and get in. Inside there's a small stage with a pole, a few seats without any customer.
A waitress ( neither young nor beautiful) come and asked me to sit down and order a drink.
I see the menu and ordered a coke. The price is 4 pounds and i gave 20 pounds for her
to change. Later the waitress took to me the drink, and asked me to buy her a cocktail.
I asked for the price and she said 40 pounds.
I refused and she immediately black-faced, said that every customer here buy the
hostess drinks. If not i have to pay a minimum charge of 40 pounds!
I knew i was trapped and i immediately want to leave and ask for my change of the drink back.
At first the girl refused to let me go but i argued with them loudly.
I only come for the show and not asking for any hostless service,' said I.
After spending some time for arguing, i managed to get back 15 pounds of my change.
I lost 10 pounds without seeing any stripe show.
Soho is a notorious place and i should have been more careful.
10 pounds may not be a big money in London but it already spoiled my mood for the day.
So ching be careful in Soho.

Agree that most Soho strip show shops try to trap tourists!!!!

C-hing. My recommendation is never going to Soho to have fun. It is a very scary place. Try some escort service.  You can either go to girl's place like the 141 in HK or ask the girl to go to your hotel.

Sucks to hear your bad experience. I was in London a few months back for business and had a great time with one of the local escorts. Didn't happen to venture into Soho myself...
