As a parent, I just have one principle in my decision about their stuff - that is, never steal away their childhood. I am quite different from my friends in nurturing up kids. They typically "push" them to do all the activities that they consider good for the kids - language lessons, music instruments, dance and summer courses. They do it to construct profile for the kids in preparation for getting them in the famous schools...... For me, I prefer to give more free time to the kids who can play whatever they like. I only enrol lessons or courses for them at their request.
Thanks for your advice on cartoons. I will take it action once the timing is right. Meanwhile, my eldest son is only 4 and not mature enough to watch batman. BTW, I can sense that his oral English is already better than mine because he really thinks in English, unlike me. |
