Released 42 years ago on this day (4 April 1983) ... the non album single (& brilliant EP) 'Peppermint Pig' by one of Scotland's post punk finest, Cocteau Twins. Being the only recording using an outside producer (Alan Rankine RIP of the The Associates), interesting to note that the band hated it - Robin Guthrie described the EP as "shit" in a 1983 interview with Sounds. Elizabeth Fraser simply described the material as "all we had at the time". It was the last release to feature original bassist Will Heggie.
