而家有自動做，除左offline果舊

問題在，你ONLINE做，有乜人為事件例如病毒，DELETE錯，豈不是照奶野 ？

曾見過玩家機(打game搵食嗰啲），用3隻Raid0提高存儲速度
( 未有ssd之前）

題外話, 個陣打game存儲速度最快是Ram Disk, 打機常用.
後來D game 越來越大, 轉用Hardware Cache Disk Controller, card 用 onboard cpu, static and Dram.
寫/讀都超快更可offload main cpu 工作, 但成本比raid貴.

現今高檔hardware raid card一般帶cpu/cache ram, 所以咁貴.

我們呢區冇所謂， 埋到來 講乜都得。

帶出了一個同raid有關的議題， 就係raid controller card.
有的平既，仍用cpu power, 嗰啲不如唔用 ( 如果MB夠port )

Ram disk, 幾乎唔記得了。 自己以前寫program, 都有用ramdisk accelerate response.

好少病毒會影響得到snapshot

入為delete左都可以snapshot搵返

我用左差唔多10年呢個方法

RAID 係保護唔到呢的， 肯定。
RAID 只能保護HARDWARE FAILURE。亦都唔係全部HARDWARE FAILURE 保護得晒

我的真實方案:

Server[1] -----(2)----->  Remote NAS[3] -----(4)----> External HD[5]

[1] Disk imaging
(2) VPN Internet connection to remote site;
    a) incremental backup individual files
    b) Snapshot SQL data, then zip, send out
    c) Do it automatically every night
[3] NAS located at remote site, online connect with internet, keep a daily copy of last night + weekly copy
    a) User can retrieve last night copy from NAS, if required
    b) Make a snapshot every week in the NAS;
(4) backup selective weekly snapshot to attacked USB external HD
[5] The USB HD keep forever monthly data:
    a) i.e. the external keep the first week snapshot every month
    b) the data in external HD will never be deleted
    c) once it is full, buy a new HD and continues the same monthly backup
    d) after monthly backup, the other 3 weekly snapshot will be deleted, i.e. keep the monthly backup on-line until too old
