為了推廣，有些產酒區會舉辦葡萄酒皇后選美會。勝出的佳麗經常在當地活動亮相，或周遊列國，親身宣傳產酒區的出品。如果得獎佳麗來自釀酒世家，或者對葡萄酒認識深厚，這是非常正面的做法，但若純粹為了宣傳而宣傳，出來的只是個擁有漂亮面孔的模特兒，說服力絕對及不上葡萄園天然的美貌和葡萄酒本身的甜酸苦辣。


■Barbaresco最佳葡萄園美不勝收。

在意大利 Piemonte 的 Langhe 山頭，有一款葡萄酒，美得過份，艷麗超群，是公認的皇后，她不需要代言，只要你一親香澤，就永遠不能忘記。她的名字，叫 Barbaresco。不過，這條皇后大道並不易行，在十九世紀末之前，她只是一位無名無姓的宮女，陪伴在皇帝身邊，甚至為他打江山，但永遠只是幕後功臣。Barbaresco 的鄰村，正是如雷貫耳的 Barolo，因為出產被稱為「酒中之王，王者之酒」而受到世界酒粉膜拜。同樣種植 Nebbiolo 葡萄釀酒的 Barbaresco，風頭卻因為單寧較輕，結構較薄而被掩蓋。
說實話，Barbaresco 比世上大部份的紅酒單寧更重，結構更強，只是站在酒王旁邊，根本沒有發亮發熱的機會。為了生存，不少 Barbaresco 的葡萄農惟有將收成的葡萄賣到鄰村，為 Barolo 的豐功偉業默默貢獻。直至1894年，任職阿爾巴（Alba）皇家葡萄酒釀造學校校長 Domizio Cavazza提議成立葡萄酒合作社，讓沒有足夠經濟能力的九位葡萄農有機會當家自主，釀造自家葡萄酒，不用再活在酒王的陰影下。Produttori del Barbaresco可能是世上第一家葡萄酒合作社，亦是令到 Barbaresco 堂而皇之取得酒后美譽的恩人。
合作社在法西斯年代被迫關門，1958年由僧侶發起重開，現在成員多達56個，合起來的葡萄園面積達100公頃，全部種植 Nebbiolo，更重要的，是他們擁有全部區內最優質的葡萄園，沒有任何一家 Barbaresco 酒莊可以媲美。

Produttori del Barbaresco 主要生產三個檔次的酒

Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo - 最基本的地區酒。相當於 Bordeaux AOC 或 Bourgogne AOC。香港較少見。

Produttori del Barbaresco -  基本的村莊酒。較新年份香港售二佰多元。平靚正之選。


■ Produttori del Barbaresco 基本村莊酒

Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva - 只在好年份時出產的 9 款單一酒園的 Barbaresco Riserva (Asili, Montestefano, Montefico, Muncagota, Ovella, Paje, Pora, Rabaja, Rio Sordo)。 9 塊酒園風格不同。像 Asili 纖巧細膩，但 Montestefano 卻濃厚得像 Barolo。它有著驚人的陳年潛力。新年份香港售三佰多元。很精彩的一款酒，絕對不可錯過。

This is one of the best articles this forum has put forward: those Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva cru wines are amongst the best wines in the world you can have for relatively affordable amount of money. How on earth these days you pay HK$300 or so for a bottle of limited production single vineyard wines that are only made in the best vintages and these wines are drinkable after 5-6 years of bottle age!!! And believe me, these 9 crus each does have its own characteristics and they offer different expressions of nebbiolo. Amazing indeed!!
This sort of articles are excellent for novices, but are bad news for us veterans of wine appreciation in the sense that if more and more people start to discover these under the radar wines, the prices of these wines will be driven up and this will be bad for those of us in the know.
