More than 20years ago when Wolf Blass was still owned by the man himself, the wines were quite good and filled with personalities. After he sold it to some big wine conglomerates, the wines became massively produced, standardised, chemically adjusted, manipulated laboratory products that catered for the general public and are commercially successful. Nothing wrong with that, and this putting the year of the rooster thing on the label is in line with the wine---cheap and easy and appeal to the masses. |
