觀點非常好,
在過去，我們拍 Portraiture, Glamour/Nude, and Fashion 會有不同目光接觸的標準。
Portraiture will most of the time with Eye Contact
Glamour/Nude will be 50/50 depending on the effect and lighting style.
Fashion photography as we know it will most of the time try to avoid eye contact with the Model.
Althou in the modern Fashion world, because of the popular use of Stars and Celebrities as Models on Magazine covers, The difference between Glamour and Fashion have been kind of fuzzy, as many High fashion Shoots will cross into Glamour styles.
As you can tell from the product catalogs from my store, eye contact on Sexy fashion and swimwear will be direct or just slightly off to one side ( Glamour/Fashion). Where club dresses/long gowns and other high fashion items will have the model eyeline of sight slightly off the camera ( High Fashion).
OF COURSE, above thoughts are just my interpretation of current trends. By no means that is what the rest of the fashion world is following.
