c hing have Mircosoft Office Picture Manager? or Photoshop? both allow it and compress a lot.
For Picture Manager, open the picture in it, then go to the command picture, scroll down and see that there a compression.  But don't use the original as after it compress, it will over write it.

I think nowadays race discrimination against Chinese in South Africa is much more serious then that time !!

Tku for your advise, I am using Window 8 with Photoshop, will try to use it next time.
