When I was younger, most of money I earned I paid off my home loan. Once you no longer have a debt for the home, you will have lots of spare money. Meanwhile, my home value has increased 3-4x.
Don't spend money on too much unnecessary items like the latest iPhone every year, smoking, drinking etc.
