The Frankfurt Red Light District is indeed very convenient from a location standpoint, it being right next to the train station.  You can go there just to check it out.  For a better experience, I recommend you go to a FKK instead.

I walked around the RLD in Frankfurt near the central train station. I found these joints a bit shady as they were kind of in a bad neighborhood - you could see people selling/doing drugs on the street. I heard these brothels are still pretty safe to go to, but they are kind of too out in the open for me.
