These are scotch straight from the cask. Usually they just have the barrel in the shop and you buy a bottle from them (they have bottle of different size) and you fill it up yourself and you pay paid based on the volume you bought.
Straight whisky are vintage whisky, usually at least 15-20 years old. They were not diluted with water and the reduction in alcohol strength is purely due to evaporation. Anyway, their alcohol level is typically still quite high at around 50-55% |
