Thanks for sharing.   I wonder what the relevant law is for the US?   I don't think they call out the exact max sentence or max fine, do they?    Oh well, happy hunting.

1. The law is for Ottawa.  It doesn't affect other provinces.

Do you know anything about Canada ????

Ottawa is the Capital of Canada.

Ottawa means the Canadian Federal Government.

You are right, I overlooked the part "Federal Government".  
"OTTAWA—The federal Conservative government will try to abolish the sex trade..."  
"Try", not passed yet..  supposed to finalize by end of year.

Dozens of witnesses have spoken about the bill, with some supporting it and others calling for it to be amended or scrapped altogether."

HK: prostitution (141) is legal, pimping, solicitation and brothels are not.  It's the same in Canada.
