Good for midrange only... at 82db shouldn't it pair with a solid state amp with better power output?  I know tube amp can provide better (cleaner perhaps) wattage but I would think this little guy can handle a little more.

This may not be an exact BBC 3/5A replica.  BBC spec is 10 ohm impedance and 82 db/w/m.  This is 8 ohm and 89 db/w/m plus takes 100 watts RMS instead of 50.  Please see correction @ 41 fl.

I agree tube is not necessary better.  If I have money, I rather spend on a solid state amp.  :p

I always like solid state amps better personally.  Solid state is much more advance in design.  Tube amps most likely cost more though.
