yes, thats true, but if you buy it in Hong Kong, much much cheaper than you buy it in here, even the fish food, much cheaper.

Can you bring fish food through custom? I normally help my In laws to get them from eBay. Has has carps and they grow......and they are also considered as a pest. I recon he should keep small fish and it seems better for the fish as they have more room to grow

No, You could not bring any fish or pet enter australia, i just bought all the equipment in fish street, Mong Kok. Next time you go to HK, you go to mong kok and have a look around, then you could compare the prices between hk and here.
