yes, I agree some Ching saying the quality of wine cork, is soling depend on the cost of the wine. Some cork is easy to break when you open it. because of cheap wine but if the wine is 20 yrs or up it could be the reason of the technology of cork making. some older wine is very easy to break when you open it. so be gentle or ask the expert to do it.
"Australian Brandy and Wine Association" was spending a huge sum of money to create the "twist top" technology from the last ten yr. for the last few years, not the cheap wine but high ranking wine also use the twist top. eg. Penfold Grange, RWT, Bin 707. etc.,
Some wine industry people saying, 1 in a dozen case of wine is corked in some reason. if we can get rid of using cork, not just only save the planet but also save the money in your pocket...... |
