Well I guess I can't say much about Taiwan since I left 20 plus years ago, but I have live in HK for a short while and I visit both places quiet often. HK is really bad when it comes to living quality not living standards. Yes very convenient when you want to go shopping or eat but that's only part of life. There are more to life that those thing. So much stress to live in HK due to over crowding and the lack of resources due to over flow of people so it has become a true materialistic capitalism place to be. TW on the other hand doesn't have all those issues but it has a very very bad government full of corruptions and no one is willing to do anything to clean this up. Education system has turned so bad it is a joke, they don't produce kids that competitive at all. People are too much into politic and forgetting that it's not meant to be taken that serious it's a religion and followed blindly either side of politics. Both has good and bad points but I do think TW is a better to live, but you need a decent job that pays decent salary.
there is always good and bad in every country. it's up to personal preference and priority.
- living quality
- salary/earnings
- environment for kids (education, etc.)
- cultural background
If you don't mind the over-saturated population, smaller-than-average living space and materialism in Hong Kong, why would you make a move?
Everyone is different. Taiwan may be good for some, but not for others. Many would think Hong Kong is the best place to be..
All is good! Enjoy and live your life!
