the idea is good for middle classs....

Many elderlys are willing to use their money to buy new flat for the children.  And on the other hand, the children can live in the same building of the elderly.  it is good.

In Hongkong, if financial background is fair enough, most people would like to live near their parents, but not live together in the same flat.  It is a good alternative for keeping two or three genration together.

Regarding the price, it is in fact controlled by the marketing.  If the market considers it high but there is demand,  HS may consider other site at a low price.
