Yamaha NS 1000 was the only Japanese speaker that was my cup of tea, will see how this little guy do "NS-10M比我既感覺係高頻清麗可取,中頻不甚吸引,低頻貧乏,講完" Japanese taste is hard for us to understand anyway..carrot sound. The NS 1000/1000M could be a different story. NS 10M..lol..I never paid attentions to it..rolled off sharply at about 70hz..A piece of crap lol...I think it was born is 1982. Ns 10 was born in 78, or 79 (they same). Would be more interesting someday you do NS 1000/1000M, very very nice Jap speakers haha... Almost as good as DQ-10. Only difference between the Studio and the M was added with some dispersion foam (studio workers no longer got to tape toilet paper on the tweeter to protect their ears, true story). Drivers position were rearrange to horizontal placement.
Japanese speakers Yamaha NS-10M STUDIO. Released in early 80's , the cost at the time of production was 55,000 Y.
This near-field studio monitors , with a horizontal orientation. The manufacturer recommends that the horizontal position monitors
tweeters out, but not opposed to other options.
Speakers Yamaha NS- 10 thought of as domestic hi-fi speakers that are supposed to be placed in residential
spaces on the shelves . But in this as they did not have commercial success and international hi-fi press were met "in arms ".
However, these speakers were readily accepted by the majority of recording studios as near-field monitors for
recording pop and rock music , and their increasingly began to be used instead of monitors Auratone 5C Sound Cube.
And Speakers Yamaha NS- 10 is very well suited for this purpose. Over time, they began to take more and more insistently that "niche ", which previously occupied Auratone.
The first speaker NS- 10 had two minor drawbacks : first, they still somewhat lacking power output for
serious professional use , and secondly, they had some undesirable rise of the frequency response at high
frequencies. The first flaw is usually led to the frequent failure of the high-frequency drivers , and the second problem is resolved by engineers in
mainly by placing on top of twitters ... toilet paper. At the time there was serious discussion on the topic of how much should be layers of this
toilet paper , as well as what it should be brand ! Given all this , the company finalized these Yamaha speakers , and in the early 80's
it entered the market with a more perfect system of NS-10M Studio
