Yes, I have seen them, and side firing, back firing, even floor firing speakrs...and some with drivers firing at different angle.  I don't usually like them

They usually sound better in labs lol... Room acoustics in real life is somewhat doubtful, and most importantly, human preference...something doesn't deal with logic and reasons lol...
Should spend more time posting some nice MM picz..

Can not think of them at the moment, but check this out lol..  I had same carbon fiber arm before, nice knife edge support.
These are custom JBL "Scoop" bass bins with 350hz Edgar Horn midrange and Heil Tweeters.
