About the topic #1: Melbourne, Australia.

Driving in Australia is very much like in HK, same side of road, similar rules. The #1 topic mentioned is only for Melbourne CBD. Only have to worry in intersection marked "Hook Turn" only. The reason is that if you stay in the right lane to turn right in the CBD, it will block the Tram's movement. The streets are very wide in Melbourne CBD. So in those intersection, you indicate right turn, but go to the left lane waiting area in the intersection. When the light becoming red, then you can turn right.

Sound strange, but once you done it you will understand. I am visiting this city right now.
