起初由Paul Stanley(主唱/節奏吉他手)和Gene Simmons(貝斯手)共同組建，並在滾石雜誌廣告欄公開招募團員下徵得鼓手Peter Criss，最後主奏吉他手Ace Frehley加入後，Kiss終告成型，並展開他們不凡的音樂旅程。於1976年出版的專輯『Destroyer』堪稱是里程碑代表作之一，分別選入Kerrang!雜誌「史上百大經典重金屬專輯」、滾石雜誌「史上五百張經典專輯」、Guitar World雜誌「史上最偉大百張吉他專輯」、「死前必聽的1001張專輯」一書裡。絲毫不受後起新秀威脅的Kiss，於1998-2009年間發行的『Psycho Circus』和『Sonic Boom』兩張作品，依舊聲勢不墜地挺進告示牌流行榜TOP5！

隨著搖滾樂大放異彩的 80s 年代，音樂過度"商業包裝"也開始被詬病
象徵"純真"音樂的不插電 (unplugged) 表演方式也開始出現
很多無法唱現場的"錄音室"歌手對 unplugged 都只能望塵怯步
這裡要分享 1995 年的不插電演出的經典歌曲 Rock And Roll All Nite
主唱 Paul Stanley 當時也把前 KISS 團員一並找回同台演出，真的很感動，也展現每人的才華

KISS 很多膾炙人口作品，但現場演唱會的魅力更是吸引人
這裡僅分享 2003 年在澳洲墨爾本 (Melbourne) 的演唱會
喜歡 KISS 的，這DVD (KISS Symphony: Alive IV) 絕對值得收藏
因演唱會分3部分，第一段先是 KISS 自己表演，接下來是加入小型合奏團 (ensemble) 伴奏演出
最後是用整個管弦樂團 (orchestra) 配合演出達到高潮
說到搖滾樂，一直覺得能配上氣勢磅礡的管弦樂團一定超讚的
2000 年後發現很多樂團都時有利用大小不同合奏團配合演出，我個人很喜歡這種味道
