八十年代英國新浪漫樂派代表組合: Spandau Ballet，於1986年發行的大碟『Through The Barricades』，主打曲『Through The Barricades』，由隊員Gary Kemp所創作，靈感是來自『羅密歐與茱麗葉』的故事，真摯的描寫自己年幼與長大後，對父母的不同態度，大多數人均絕少明白父母的苦心，就如同歌詞的一句：『we made our love on wasteland and through the barricades，我們總是把愛棄置於荒野，並經歷一切困難障礙』，主音Tony Hadley沉實有力的歌聲，Martin Kemp精湛的結他演奏，讓不大聽英文歌的我在二十多年後仍印象深刻。
