Nissan has announced their newest improvements to the 2014 Nissan GT-R making it faster and more responsive to the driver then ever before. To prove all their engineering might, they broke their previous Nurburgring lap time of 7:21 and improved it by more than 2 seconds to 7:18.6.
For the engine Nissan GT-R engineers added,
High output injectors with more precise fuel delivery under high acceleration.
New relief valve for the turbo
A new oil pan that better maintains oil pressure.
For the Chassis
Tweaked dampers, springs and anti-roll bar for lower center of gravity.
Driveshaft has been improved to handle more torque.
Nissan will make it into hybrid power version with a twin turbocharged 3.7 liter V-6 and 160 horse power and a 158 horse power electric motor. Another report says that Nissan GTR 2014 will probably wrap extra power due to its new engine that is a 3.8-liter twin turbo V-6 that can output 570 horse powers. It is produce 40 horse power more than the previous generation. Moreover, the pricing is about $110.000. Nissan has a tendency to make yearly updates to the GT-R and new details are emerging about what might be in store for the 2014 model.
According to owners, the 2014 GT-R will be introduced on November 2nd and go on sale in Japan two weeks later. It will reportedly feature minor styling updates and an improved cabin with new trim.
The twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine is expected to retain its current output of 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 632 Nm (466 lb-ft) of torque, but it could be retuned to deliver more power at lower levels. It could also be connected to an improved gearbox which may enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.
Besides being slightly quicker, the GT-R could feature new frame reinforcements and a retuned suspension for better ride comfort.
