如果想讀法律将来做律师想係開始讀書前打好基础
应该睇邊D書   图書馆有冇的借

其實係修讀法律前
唔須要刻意去睇法律的書
因為你有幾大可能唔明所講的野
要先打好基礎, 本人建議先學好英文
因為雖則說現在中英文均為法定語言
但大部份的案例以及法律課本都仍然以英文為主
英文根柢打得好,
對將來習上會比較容易理解

Whenever you would like to do something in life, try to think really whether that is what you want.

Find out more about it; try it to the extent that you are able to do so within you capacity and possibility in life.  For example, go and work in a legal office or chamber.  Get a taste of what the lawyers do and see whether that is what you should be aiming for.

Go for the final goal and work for it.

To be a lawyer, you need good grades and determination.  It is a long road and you have get the keys for all these doors.  Study hard. Get your good grades and if you do, they will pay off.

There is a very funny book that you should read.  And youc can get it  from the Central library.

The book is Official Lawyer Handbook.  It is a joke book but all the things it says are pracitcally true.

"The Official Lawyer's Handbook is a best-selling satire on law and lawyers written by the lawyer Daniel R. White, and originally published in the United States by Simon & Schuster in 1983. The Handbook was adapted and republished in Britain under the name The Queens Counsel Official Lawyers' Handbook, published by the Robson Press, an imprint of Biteback Publishing.

Background

Public distrust of lawyers reached record heights in the United States after the Watergate scandal.[1] In the aftermath of Watergate, legal self-help books became popular among those who wished to solve their legal problems without having to deal with lawyers.[2]Lawyer jokes (already a perennial favorite) also soared in popularity in English-speaking North America as a result of Watergate.[3] In 1989, American legal self-help publisher Nolo Press published a 171-page compilation of negative anecdotes about lawyers from throughout human history.[4]

The Official Lawyer's Handbook described itself as "the ultimate guide to surviving a legal career". Tips included: "The Bar Exam - Thousands of morons have passed - so can you", "Partnership: you can make it, if you know what to kiss, and whose", and "Understanding what lawyers do - and how to stop them doing it to you".

i have not read that book
but if the book is talking something in America
then people should bear in mind that the same may not applicable in Hong Kong
since the legal system and the career there are totally different from Hong Kong

板主所講"要先打好基礎, 本人建議先學好英文"是千真萬確。香港現行教育制度(包括倫大校外課程)的教學媒體、書本、案例、打MOOT都是以英語進行。但要求的英語水平不是英國文學中的詞藻華麗、結構/排比優美，而是實用方面:正確文法/用詞，令讀者明白文章內容，正所謂"文以載道"，一編充滿錯誤文法，詞不達意，紛亂結構的功課，就算精辟的分析，恰當應用案例，老師的印象會大打折扣。曾經有人說:律師買的產品是文件，如法院申請書,狀紙,律師信,法律意見書,協議合同,驗證筆錄(verification notes),招股書,大部分都是英文編制。另外大家都知道，香港法院推廣中文審訊，警方/證人口供紙，中國客戶的買賣合同,上市公司公告/通函(中英對照)，都是中文文件，出來工作實用的中文也是同樣重要。

but if the book is talking something in America
then people should bear in ...
