Used to wear them when I was very small.

As I grown out of my childhood, my feet became so ship like that I had to use shoes with shoelaces. More comfortable. That said, Loafers look so good (to me, at least), I might consider buying a pair after seeing this post. Not for long distance walking though. I am lazy afterall, you see.
