I live in Canada and people in Canada like to go to Cuba so I do have some cigar experience. Here is my own opinion.
The one in your picture I only know Davidoff, however this is not from Cuba, intead mainly from German.
Over all the brand is a very very strong cigar, which you can get "drunk" from the cigar if you "smoke" it into your lung. May of the davidoff is hand rolled. like the one in your picture.
Cigar size and colour and wrap, many Ching have already post so I am not going through again.
however I like to point out that a good cigar, you will have to look at the "draw" as well, it should be at least 1-2 inch of ash that can stay together after burning, because that is a sign of good quality leafs and good quality of rolling.
A good cigar should be smooth to smoke, with no bitter taste or oily taste. It could be strong or mild which depend on the age of the leaf.
You don't always have to buy the expensive one to be a good smoke, expensive normally mean good brand and good age on the leaf. There are few other brand that is good to smoke without spending alot. For example, "Punch Cello with maduro wrap" " Romeo y Juilet short churchill" "Don Lucas corona". These are good after dinner smoke that won't be costing too much however have a very good flavor in it. most of the time a cigar take around 45 mins to finish depend on your ring size, some people like to smoke during golf as it take a good 4-5 hours to play, so they keep smoking and lighting it again and again....
Just find the one your like and can afford to, as long as you feel smooth, don't look at the brand. like drinking red wine.. you can find some good one with low price, only matter of knowing it... |
