以下係擇錄自8月8號交易通新車激試 “太平紳士測試上流社會四門跑　 M-Benz CLS350& BMW 640iA Gran Coupe M Sport Edition”

  “Gran Coupe只有兩款引擎配搭，分別係 650iA用 450匹 4.4公升 V8引擎，同埋今次拍攝嘅 640iA用 320匹 3.0公升 V6雙 turbo引擎，馬力上比許先生部 CLS350多 14匹，揸落去分別有幾大？「性能方面冇得比， Gran Coupe勁好多！加速力比 CLS350強。更重要係成個駕駛感受偏向 sporty，坐姿貼地，保留 BMW一貫表現。」筆者都有試過車，發覺測試車引擎表現一啲都唔似turbo引擎，感覺唔到 turbo介入產生嘅爆發力，反而有啲似 4.0公升 NA引擎嗰種順暢又雄厚嘅出力表現。”

唔只兩款引擎！有640i,640d(2993cc 24v twin-turbo straight-six diesel, 309bhp @ 4400rpm, 465lb ft @ 1500-2500rpm),650i.

係單turbo~唔係雙turbo~如果無記錯～this 直6 engine 早期係雙 turbo。。、後期change 左做單turbo~

640i 係用 N55 嘅單Turbo twin scroll (所以佢地叫TwinPower Turbo), 而早期E90 335i, 之後嘅335is, E60 535i, 1-series M-coupe 等係用 Twin Turbo N54 engine.

好低能囉。寶馬用V6都可以錯得。呢條友做咩試車記者吖！炒得啦!

BMW’s TwinPower Turbo Technology is substantially different from the outgoing N54′s twin-turbo powered setup. With Twin-Turbo, two small turbochargers are used to increase the engine’s output, both spooling up at the same time as RPMs grow. With BMW’s new TwinPower technology, the N55 actually features only a single turbocharger instead of two working in concer．The single turbocharger of TwinPower design is what is known as a twin-scroll turbocharger. It is an attempt to combine the advantages of using two small turbochargers and the singular housing design of a single turbocharger setup. With the twin-scroll design of the N55, BMW claims an advantage in both torque and the RPMs at which maximal performance arrives combined with an increase in fuel efficiency. 咪係～唔識就上網check 下麻！

The V6 rumor has been proved wrong by the boss of BMW North America.  Next M3 will use turbocharged inline-6

喺小弟認知六個缸世界入面直列係勁過V偈好多,記憶中除左BMW S54之外,TOYOTA同NISSAN都閣自有一副直六勁偈,相反高效率V6就比較少,ADDICTED兄可以開一個新POST介紹下呢類名機嗎?順便可以叫D巴打投選下自己心儀嘅ENGINE,應該幾有趣...thx

九十年代，豐田直六有JZ 系，日產有RB 系，兩副都唔比當時嘅寶馬直六差。
