There was one in Mark & Spensor, selling for about $498 , 2years ago.Shoul ...
That one is actually a very good Hermitage and most importantly, the traditional style i.e. using mainly old barrel to preserve the original character of the grape. This is particularly important for cool climate wines as the strong character from new oak barrel can easily overpowered the delicate flavor of the wine.
The style of the wine from M&S (not powerful fruit driven, but a lot of floral, herbs, earthiness) is quite different from typical Bordeaux GCC. It is in fact a good example to show the different between Northern Rhone and Bordeaux. It was made by Cave de Tain, a very famous negociant in Northern Rhone. It was all sold out during Chinese New Year and still no new stock arrived yet. |
