That is new to me.  A thin layer of walnut is used to cover the surface of enclosure (skin) and just for looks.  Speakers manufactures don't use solid Walnut to make speaker boxes.

You see, solid walnut does not have high enough density, plus it costs a lot.  Not an ideal material to make speaker enclosures..

Looks more like solid wood. Thin layer is difficult to make to such curvature and shape with such wood texture.

BTW $27K 拍得住 sonus faber 仔價錢.

That is nice craftsmanship...  Solid wood don't work good on speaker enclosures and that is a common knowledge among audiophiles/hi fi fans..
Needs highest density possible for good speaker boxes.  You don't get that from solid wood.

the author says '採用實木榫接而成'
if the outside layer is decorated with 木榫 to fake it as 實木. the manufacturer must think that buyers like it to be 實木.
the same happens to sonus faber speakers

Chario側板為胡桃原木板塊（條狀），音箱內層則由厚實的MDF 板構成。

I tell you, I have never seen any solid wood cabinet since I started playing with hi fi..no solid wood has the density needed for good boxes.

Totally agree with you.
The surface layer really looks good and expensive.
