Don't mean to brag, past experience still scare me lol....was using a 40 Watts Class A mono blocks tube amp to drive a pair of Gale Chrome Ended speakers (I know, not ideal match..hehe) and killed the tweeter. Was my fault, was into classical music a lot which requires a lot of headroom for peaks and dips.
Should not have been a problem if my amps were branded...was home-made hehe. Design by Bruce Moore and he built it in his garage on Green Street in San Francisco for me, but one of the nicest thing I have had in my life though.
It was the GS401A, smooth as silk, tight base for its size. Good for classical music, not a rock speaker, hehe. I would say it is comparable to KEF 105 at the time. In a small listening room, relax and enjoy, sometimes, you feel you are in a small concert hall, super value for the money, very inefficient.

Was a house, over 2k sq ft, but moved to SF...now only about 1k sq ft. (Unlike Hong Kong, it is like 30% less than claim) Live all by myself, hehe....
Gale was the smallest speaker system I used, two 8 inch woofers, cone mid-range and a dome tweeter, nice 3 way design and weight about 50LB each, I think. 大型既系統 is different story, but you are very knowledgeable. You will master it easy.

Just found out today the 6550A power tube cost over $150 USD, matching pair...for my tiny tube amp. Guess now those are for rich people to play lol..Over $300 USD just to replace them...
Notice Hong Kong people use smaller speakers, maybe lack of space? We love big speakers here. Currently got Magneplanar 1.7 as my retirement speakers from Hi Fi, but since I posted here, maybe I'll get back in. Hmmm...Jadis DA30 amp hmmm, this one rely very very heavily on the out-put transformer, much more than other tube amps. Not bad idea to sell it....hehe. Jadis DA30 clones not nearly as good because of that.

部擴音有幾大能耐係要考設計師，我唔敢話Cambridge有幾大能耐，因我從未玩過，試聽亦都係多二十年係D爛鬼音響鋪，亦非常短暫，但以現今科技，正常情況下應該問題不大
