First and most important, it depends on the fact if you are losing your front tire or rear tire, totally different story. Front is worse.
But anyway, I don't know how the article got 100 meters. Simple math, if you are traveling 36 kmh, that means you travel 10 meters per second. So for normal highway speed, you are trveling 20-30 meters per second, you really do believe 100 meters is enough to bring the car to a complete stop?
My opinion, hold the steering wheel tight, if you just lose your front tire this can be difficult. turn on double blinker to warn ppl "stay away from me". try to brake and maintain control to slow the car down, and bring the car to the side of the road (this may not be practical in HK). |
