Thanks for input, can you express your opinion in the the 1990 Grand Mayne as I have some 2000 Grand Mayne and looking to the right time phase to pop it. Also how do you think about the 2003 Ch. Hosanna? Please advise.

Ah!! Rene Engel, extreme fond memories of his 1990's, 95' s and 96's. His Grands Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot were out of this world. Too bad he died in 2005.
The Domaine was sold to Latour (Bordeaux) and now it is known as Domaine le Eugenie. And the wine prices have shot up. I remember paying about 40 pounds for the 90 Vougeot and 50 for the 96; and until last year I was still able to buy the 03 Grands Ehezeaux for arund 80 pounds.

I could hardly remember the performance of those bottles as nobody really did care about the tasting notes during that event! Most of the wines were smooth well balanced and elegant.  I guess your 2000 Grand Mayne should be a wonderful bottle too. Cheers...
